For this preliminary exercise we learned about parts of camera work . For this blog post this is dedicated to camera composition. Camera composition is how a photographer arranges visual elements within their frame . For camera composition we have 8 shots . Single shot - only one person is visible in the shot . Two shot only when two people are visible in the shot . 

Three shot - only three people are visible in the shot . Four shot  - only four people are visible in the shot .

Crowd shot is when multiple people are in a shot that can not be counted for a regular scale . 

Insert shot - shows what a character is looking at . 

Over the shoulder shot is where the camera is placed over the scene while you catch the shoulders and 

above . 

We learned that characteristics and Uses of a POV shot:Often shot with a hand held camera to accentuate the subjective perspective. The POV shot became a staple of the slasher sub genre as the killer PO= like in John Carpenter,s Halloween . It also allows characters to bend the 4th wall by looking directly into the camera.

 This week our teacher assigned us to produce a 3-7sec videos illustrating the six Camera Movement .Techniques selected by our group from the Camera Movement story board.Camera movement is a filmmaking technique that causes a change in frame or perspective through the movement of the camera .Each team member had a job description and demonstrated the skill and responsibility. Our team had to establish MISE EN SCENE Elements in the videos. Creative Critical Reflection

 Here is my critical reflection which I tried to use into  a movie theatre template. I aimed for a premiere for the rich people could see before our film actually hit the media . The slides have the background information on posters about the making of our movie sit back and enjoy. It was a wonderful experience being able to reflect back on my movie. Overall this movie was the best for our limited time and resources .  Our teacher helped so much with in class lectures to complete the final film . This critical reflection shows four questions and how we used them to answer about our movies . From our welcome to media studies blog up until our very last blog creative reflection . Introduction to Camera Framing and Camera Composition Powerpoint

      Camera Composition refers to way the elements of a scene are arranged in a camera frame. The composition impacts the way the film is perceived by others. A camera composition is the rule of thirds. The rule of thirds is grid is formed by four lines two vertical and two horizontal placed at an equal distance from each other and the photo edges. It is a guideline stating you should position compositional elements along your gridlines and that the focal point of your composition. Another composition is the leading lines. Leading lines direct the viewer through an image.They guide the eye through the image. Leading lines can be present or implied , and they can be straight or curved.      Color is a key consideration for composition in photography. Complementary colors are used to contrast and make your subject stand put . It helps bring together unrelated elements that are united a color scheme.
