Preliminary Exercise :Camera work /Shot sizes

Shot sizes were our third camera work to do. Shot sizes are how much of the scene is included in the picture, and whether it mainly shows th setting , people in the setting, or details faces and things. It is a very tedious process in choosing camera sizes. Each shot sizes choice you make will alter the surrounding shot and the way we receive them.It ensures that the audience sees what we want them to see. Shot sizes help you translate written words, thoughts, and emotions into images. Having a wide variety allows editors to regulate the emotional connection the audience has with the character.

Example of f shot sizes are establishing shot , wide shot , full shot , medium full shot , medium shot, close up , and extreme close up . Establishing shot shows the importance relationship between figures and objects . Wide shot is a camera angle that shows the entire object or person and their relation that surrounds them . Full shot is when the film shows the objects and their surrounding . Medium full shot often found between a wide and close up taken from above the waist , yet below the chest . Medium shot frames a character from the knee up . Close up shot that creates emotion to a scene tightly to a subjects face , taken from usually the mid chest and above . Extreme close up showing more intense version of a close up shot often at the eye level .
